Expressions of Interest
Co-chairing a session
EOI's for session chairs have now closed. An email will be sent out shortly to those that sent in an EOI.
This is a valuable opportunity to contribute to the success of the conference, develop your leadership skills, and connect with peers and experts in your field.
What’s involved?
Every effort will be made to assign you to a session within your field of interest. As co-chair you will work with your session co-chair/s to:
-
Promote abstract submissions to your session
-
Review and/or arrange reviewers for abstracts submitted to your session
-
Arrange the final program for your session including assignment of orals and posters, in conjunction with scientific organising committee
-
Co-chair your session in-person at the Australian Association of Animal Sciences (AAAS) Biennial Conference 2026, in Adelaide. You will need to fund your own expenses including registration fees.
To facilitate a smooth experience co-chairs will be asked to attend an online information & training session.
To express your interest, please send an email to aaas2026@kamevents.com.au with your top three preferences in order of priority.
We particularly encourage Early Career Researchers and HDR students to get involved.
Thank you for your support, and we look forward to welcoming you to Adelaide in 2026!

EOI Call for one-page papers
The 2026 AAAS Conference Organising Committee invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) for papers to be included in the proceedings of the 37th Conference of the Australian Association of Animal Sciences (AAAS).
This EOI will provide the Conference Organising Committee with an overview of the number of papers conference attendees are likely to submit and an indication of the topic. This will allow us to plan the conference program.
AAAS conference papers can include preliminary results from an experiment or project. Contributions related to production animals (including poultry, aquaculture and insects), companion animals and wildlife are welcome.
How to submit your EOI
An EOI outlining the title of your paper/s, likely author/s and a brief overview (max. 250 words) must be submitted electronically via the 2026 AAAS Conference Website.
Your EOI should consist of a title and a short (approx. 200 words) overview of your paper.
Please click on the following link https://kamevents.currinda2.com/events/9 to submit your EOI.
Currinda
The portal we are using for both the EOI process and one-page papers is called Currinda. If you have attended or submitted an abstract for an event organised by KAM Events in the past you will have a Currinda profile so please use your email and existing password (you may reset if you have forgotten). If you have not or are unsure please click on add a new profile. The system will prompt you if there is already a profile under that email address. Any issues please email aaas2026@kamevents.com.au.
As part of the EOI submission process, you will be asked to nominate which of the following topics your paper/s will best fit:
-

EOI’s are due by Friday 19th September 2025.
For authors submitting multiple papers, a separate submission must be made for each paper.
After submission of your EOI, you will receive a confirmation email with links to the Author Guidelines to prepare your one-page paper and example papers.
Please note that you can still submit one-page papers without having submitted an EOI.
