The Network Effect: Turning Conversations into Career Moves with Tanya Perry

Where: Hotel Grand Chancellor
You’ve mastered the what you know — now it’s time to level up the who you know.
Join us for an interactive afternoon designed to help you turn networking from a nerve-wracking chore into a genuine opportunity. This isn’t your typical “networking event” — it’s a hands-on, fun, and practical session that will help you build connections that actually matter.
You’ll learn how to:
-
Develop smart networking strategies (even if small talk makes you cringe!)
-
Build relationships that go beyond LinkedIn and the classic “So, what was your PhD on?”
-
Hear from animal science professionals who’ve successfully made the leap from academia into government, consulting, and industry — and found their footing through the power of connection.
Whether you’re exploring your next career move or just want to sharpen your networking skills, this is your chance to connect, learn, and grow your circle of influence. Because at the end of the day — it’s not just what you know, it’s who you know that opens doors.
Places are limited so please get in quick in register via the main registration button.
